Welcome to the blog
Why I'm writing about telecom, VoIP, and cloud — and what to expect here.

After fourteen years of building VoIP and telecom infrastructure, I figured it was time to write some of it down.
This blog is going to focus on three things:
- Practical telecom engineering — SIP debugging, SS7/SCCP routing, SMSC behavior, Asterisk dialplans, the kind of war stories you only learn by doing.
- Telecom on AWS — designing fault-tolerant RADIUS, low-latency DynamoDB lookups, disaster recovery for VoIP workloads, and the patterns that work (and don’t) when you bring carrier-grade requirements to the cloud.
- Engineering leadership in telecom — running teams, working with operators, scoping projects, and the soft skills that turn a good engineer into a useful one.
If you’re working on something in this space and you’re stuck, head over to the Community page and post your issue. I read everything that comes in.
Welcome aboard.
